GameCube crashes

i never experienced crashes with my Nintendo64 and my SuperNES, but since i have the GameCube, i had a couple of misfortunes :

Mario Kart Double Dash
Mario Kart Double Dash
Soul Calibur II
Soul Calibur II
Metroid Prime
Metroid Prime

i think this is all due to some lousy disc reading mechanism, since the Nintendo64 and the SuperNES were cartridge based systems…
